Turkmen student Asker Charyev became the champion of 2018 of the Ulyanovsk region in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) in the weight category 57 kg and the silver medalist of this tournament in weight up to 61 kg. The fight with Alexey Babiev, held on February 5, was recognized the most spectacular duel of the championship, as opponents demonstrated their best fighting qualities and fought for the title with dignity. The 20-year-old wrestler from Turkmenistan, after defeating rivals in his weight category, was declared in a heavier category. He overcame again. Only in the final single combat he lost to professional athlete Vladimir Alekseyev.
