Turkmen tennis players started with a winning performance in Colombo
In the city of Colombo, Sri Lanka, the opening stage of the World Championship for juniors under 14 in lawn tennis for the Asia and Oceania region - 2023 World Junior Tennis Competition took place. The best tennis players from 15 countries take part in this stage - Bangladesh, Turkmenistan, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Nepal, Cambodia, Mongolia, Yemen, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Macau, Saudi Arabia and the Pacific Oceania team.
Mirali Hasanov's pupils Imran Ahundov and Ilima Huseynova, who train at the Ashgabat Tennis Academy, joined the Turkmen national team under the first numbers. Also in the team is a pupil of Evgeniy Molchanov – Natalia Martynova, a ward of Jennet Halliyeva - Selim Chagylov and a representative of the Lebap region Sabrina Rahmanova, who studies with Oksana Romanenko and Resul Mammetkurbanov, a pupil of Hummetova Ummarahmat.
On Monday, our team met with the Macau national team. With the same score 3:0, the boys and girls team won their first victory.
Ilima Huseynova was stronger than Wu Hong and won with a score of 6:0 6:0, Natalia Martynova defeated Leong Emma Hoi Tung 6:1 6:1, and Sabrina Rakhamanova debuted with Ilima Huseynova and defeated Wu Hong Tai and Leong Emma Hoi Tung with a score of 6:0 6:3
Imran Ahundov beat Chao Cheng Yu with a score of 6:1 6:3, Selim Chagylov beat Ho Si Long with a score of 6:3 6:0, and in tandem Imran Ahundov and Selim Chagylov with a score of 6:1 6:2 took up over Chao Cheng Yu and Ho Si Long.
