The volume of online commerce in Russia grew by almost 30% in 2022

The volume of online purchases in the regions of Russia amounted to 4.98 trillion rubles, which is almost 30% more than in 2021, Interfax reports with reference to the Online Trading Companies Association (OTCA).
The share of sales through Russian trading platforms was 96.4%. Electronics and household appliances account for 22% of total sales, followed by furniture and household goods, accounting for 18.3%, then clothing and footwear - 14.5%, food - 13.2%. The volume of purchases of beauty and health products was the least, only 7.7%.
OTCA President Artem Sokolov said that in 2023, the growth of the online trading market could increase by another 25-30%.
