Turkmen pop stars performed a concert in Moscow, the website of the Consulate General of Turkmenistan in Kazan reports.

Azat Donmezov performed his hits on one of the best stages of the Russian capital Vegas City Hall, and musicians Serdar Haidarov and Atajan Eyyubov demonstrated their mastery of playing brass and percussion oriental instruments.

The legendary musical group "Gunesh" under the leadership of Kerim Ilyasov, which has long won the hearts of listeners in Turkmenistan, also performed in front of the Moscow audience.

In addition to representatives of the Turkmen community, students studying at Russian universities, the concert was also attended by members of the diplomatic corps of the CIS countries.

"The concert of Turkmen artists in Moscow is a rare phenomenon in itself and therefore doubly welcome. For most of the audience, the Turkmen musical art was quite close and understandable, but the high bar of the Moscow venue itself obliged a lot," the Consulate General's publication says.

In addition to the Turkmen artists, the stars of the Russian pop scene also performed at the evening.

It should be noted that the concert was the result of agreements reached by the heads of Turkmenistan and Russia regarding the expansion of cultural exchange.
