The average economic growth in Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan in 2023-2024 will be the largest among all regions where the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development operates.

This is the conclusion reached by the bank's experts in a report on the state of the economy in the countries where the EBRD projects are being implemented.

It is expected that in 2023, the total GDP of the Central Asian countries will grow by about 4.9%, and in 2024-by 5.4%. Growth in Tajikistan is expected to reach 8%, Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia-7%, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan-6.5%.

Higher oil and gas prices, increased flows of labor, capital, and remittances will accelerate GDP growth in the region.
