Drozdov, who was a vegetarian for almost 50 years, recognized the importance of meat in the diet

The famous Russian zoologist-scientist Professor Nikolai Drozdov admitted that he broke his ribs due to a long-term vegetarian lifestyle. He told about this in an interview with 7days.ru.
The 85-year-old scientist spent three weeks in the hospital after he slipped in the yard of his own house, breaking his ribs. On top of everything else, one of the ribs pierced a lung.
"All these are the consequences of my vegetarian life. Meat still needs to be eaten. I have recently started to include it in my diet. And before that, I really hadn't eaten for many years. But then I had my first fracture. And the doctors said that if you don't eat meat, then fractures will occur more and more often. You see, now it has reached the ribs," the zoologist summed up.
Nikolai Drozdov, who has been a committed vegetarian since 1975, is better known as the host of the TV program "In the World of Animals". He is a member of the International Academy of Social Sciences, the New York Academy of Sciences and other major research structures.
