The Marmara Sea retreated from the shores of Istanbul at a distance of 15 to 20 meters, RIA Novosti reports.
Scientists of the Kandilli Observatory reassured residents, saying that the natural phenomenon is associated with pressure drops and has nothing to do with the earthquake that occurred in the south-east of the country.
On Monday, the media published drone videos showing that the Sea of Marmara moved away from the coast by 15-20 meters and exposed rocks.
