The US military has shot down 4 unidentified flying objects since the beginning of February. Each of them has a different shape. The Pentagon does not believe that they posed a military threat, but suggests that they could have been used for reconnaissance purposes. Also, the Americans do not exclude that the objects may have extraterrestrial origin, BBC News reports.

The first object was shot down by the US military on February 4, assuming that it was a reconnaissance balloon that was sent from China, but the PRC denies this. The body was shaped like a balloon and flew for several days off the coast of South Carolina, where it was shot down.

The next unidentified object was shot down on February 10 near the northern part of Alaska. According to officials, it did not have any engines or control systems.

Then an American fighter jet shot down a cylindrical object, smaller than the previous ones, and located at a high altitude in Canadian airspace, over the Yukon, about 160 km from the US border.

The last object was shot down by the military on February 12 near Lake Huron, near the Canadian border. It had the shape of an octagon and was located at an altitude of 6,100 meters, posing a danger to commercial aircraft.

Until now, the United States cannot establish a connection between these unidentified flying objects, they plan to recover them from the wreckage in order to study them in detail.
