The Chairman of the Mejlis received credentials from the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to Turkmenistan


On February 15, on behalf of the Respected President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the Chairman of the Mejlis received credentials from the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to Turkmenistan Carlos Enrique Valdesade la Concepción.
On behalf of the head of state, the head of the national parliament congratulated the diplomat on his appointment to a responsible diplomatic post, wishing him great success in strengthening friendship and fruitful cooperation between the two countries.
Thanking for the cordial welcome on the Turkmen land, the diplomat conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from the leadership of his country to the Respected President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, all the Turkmen people. As the plenipotentiary noted, in the international political arena, including in the Republic of Cuba, the peacekeeping and creative initiatives of the head of Turkmenistan to ensure global security, stability and further sustainable development are highly respected and supported.
During the conversation, the diplomat was informed in detail about the priorities of the foreign policy of independent neutral Turkmenistan, one of the most important aspects of which is the development of broad international cooperation, including with the Republic of Cuba.
The guest also got acquainted with the structure and activities of the national parliament to modernize the legal framework in the context of ongoing large-scale reforms. The importance of bilateral cooperation within the framework of the UN structural divisions was also emphasized. The diplomat noted the great interest of his country in the development of trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian contacts, including in the field of science, education, sports and tourism, stressing that he would make every effort to successfully promote bilateral dialogue.
