Turkmenistan and Belarus discussed cooperation in the field of sports
The issues of enhancing bilateral cooperation in the field of sports were discussed during the meeting of the Chairman of the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of Turkmenistan Gulmyrat Agamyradov with the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Turkmenistan Vyacheslav Beskosty. This is reported by the website of the diplomatic mission of Belarus in Turkmenistan.
The parties considered the issue of participation of Turkmen athletes at the II Games of the CIS countries, which will be held in August 2023 in the Republic of Belarus.
The Games will be held not only in Minsk, but also in all regions of the country — in two sports in each regional center. This concept will allow to involve the maximum number of participants in the event. It should be noted that athletes will compete in 21 sports.
The opening and closing ceremonies of the Games are planned to be held at the Minsk Arena sports and entertainment complex.
