Asian National Olympic Committees launch a fund to support the training of athletes

13 National Olympic Committees of Asia (NOCs) have launched a program to attract and train athletes.
In particular, the Athlete Centered Project Fund was founded by the National Olympic Committees of Bangladesh, Bhutan, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, Iraq, Japan, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Myanmar, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka and Tajikistan.
The program, designed until 2024, will allow sports organizations to implement various activities aimed at training athletes, involving them in the sports movement. It is also designed to help them develop after a career, forming character and psychological stability.
"Athletes are a great asset that contributes to building a better society," said Tony Tarraf, head of the Athletes Development and Special Projects Department of the Olympic Council of Asia, noting the need to invest in them.
