Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic accredited in Turkmenistan
Today, on behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Chairperson of the Mejlis G. Mammedova received credentials from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Turkmenistan Vaclav Yilek.
On behalf of the head of state, the head of the national parliament congratulated the ambassador on his appointment to a responsible diplomatic post, wishing him success in further strengthening the traditional ties of friendship and cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Czech Republic.
Expressing gratitude for the warm welcome on Turkmen soil, Vaclav Yilek conveyed to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov the best wishes on behalf of the leadership of the Czech Republic.
During the conversation, the plenipotentiary was informed about the priorities of the domestic and foreign policy pursued by the head of Turkmenistan, the most important vector of which is the establishment of broad international cooperation in the interests of global peace and sustainable development, and also got acquainted with the structure and legislative activities of the Mejlis.
When exchanging views on the prospects for building up bilateral relations, it was noted that there is great potential for intensifying trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian contacts, in particular, interaction in the fields of science, education, culture, sports and tourism.
