Turkmen diplomat meets with French senators in Paris
Ambassador of Turkmenistan to France Maksat Charyev met in Paris on Thursday with French senators - Chairman of the interparliamentary friendship group "France-Central Asia" of the Senate of the French Republic Herve Moray, Vice-President of the French Senate Commission on Economic Issues Franck Menonville and Senator Arnaud de Belene. The press release of the meeting was published on the website of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.
The sides discussed issues of activating and strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation between Turkmenistan and France, as well as the possibility of implementing the agreements that were reached during the visit of the Senate delegation to Ashgabat in December 2022.
The French parliamentarians noted that the meeting with Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, held during the visit of the Senate delegation to Ashgabat, gave a new impetus to the development of bilateral relations.
During the meeting, the Turkmen diplomat told the senators about the powers of the newly created supreme body of people's power, the Halk Maslahaty. He also informed about the implementation of projects for the construction of new buildings in the city of Arkadag, the administrative center of the Ahal region.
