The Turkmen delegation participated in the "The Shape of the Future Government"
The World Government Summit 2023 large-scale meeting was launched in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The summit is being held under the theme "The Shape of the Future Government". Leading the Turkmen delegation, Cabinet Deputy Chairman, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Meredov took part in it.
The World Government Summit is an annual event held in Dubai. The summit acts as a hub for learning among government leaders, policy makers, analysts and private sector leaders. During the wide-scale summit, the vice-premier of the country, the minister of foreign affairs Meredov spoke.
The Vice-Premier stressed the need to unite the efforts of states and international organizations and focus on this area in the implementation of sustainable development tasks worldwide. As noted, Turkmenistan, as a responsible state, has precisely formulated its approaches and actions in this regard and is successfully implementing them. In the speech, it was said that great attention is paid to the implementation of the goals of sustainable development, in particular, to the fulfillment of the national programs and international obligations of Turkmenistan.
A meeting was also held in Dubai between the Cabinet Deputy Chairman, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Meredov and the Minister of Cabinet Affairs of the UAE.
The sides emphasized that bilateral and multilateral relations between Turkmenistan and the UAE are constantly being developed, and Turkmen-Emirati high-level talks are helping to make this happen. Special attention was drawn to the fact that the recently completed official visit of our Hero Arkadag to the United Arab Emirates opened another important page in the history of intergovernmental relations. As a result of the meeting, the "Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the United Arab Emirates and the Government of Turkmenistan on the exchange of experience in the field of development and modernization of the state" was signed.
In this regard, it was noted that the national leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and the Esteemed President, successfully implement important state programs. In this regard, the CEO of the World Trade Organization said that the visit of our Hero Arkadag to the United Arab Emirates and the agreements reached during it will lead to the high goals of the activities carried out on the basis of the well-thought-out economic strategy of Turkmenistan. At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed confidence that progress will be made in the work carried out in accordance with the mutually relevant plans of Turkmenistan and the World Trade Organization.
