Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held talks with the Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE


The head of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who is on a working visit to Abu Dhabi, met on Sunday, February 12, with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Presidential Affairs of the UAE Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
During the meeting, numerous opportunities for the development of cooperation between the two countries were noted, taking into account their rich economic potential, as well as the advantages of Turkmenistan's location and its natural resources, a favorable investment environment, especially in the field of oil, gas, petrochemicals and manufacturing.
During the talks, the importance of the participation of the UAE private sector in the development of bilateral ties was emphasized, in connection with which it was proposed to form a committee to discuss investment opportunities and expand partnerships to achieve common goals and interests, the Emirati state news agency WAM reports.

Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed also discussed with Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov ways to develop cooperation between the UAE and Turkmenistan in the field of renewable energy sources, financial and banking sector, transport services and other areas.
Chairman Halk Maslahaty expressed gratitude to the leadership of the UAE for the warm hospitality provided, reflecting the depth of historical relations between the two friendly countries, emphasizing Turkmenistan's desire to strengthen and develop these ties.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highly appreciated the role of the UAE in the investment sphere, the development of infrastructure and the great economic potential of the emirates, expressing hope that his visit will be crowned with positive results that will increase the level of interaction based on mutual benefit and innovative experience.
On the Turkmen side, the meeting was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Government, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and a number of high-ranking Turkmen officials.
On the Emirati side, the meeting was also attended by Minister of Industry and Advanced Technologies Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Justice Abdullah Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Development Fund Muhammad Saif Al Suwaidi and UAE Ambassador to Turkmenistan Ahmed Al Hai Al Hameli.
