Musicians, artists, strongmen - what will be remembered for Days of Iranian Culture in Ashgabat

Days of Iranian Culture in Ashgabat opened with a festive concert - a blitz marathon of the arts of the neighboring country started with a musical performance in the capital's Mukams Palace.

The audience was welcomed by Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Turkmenistan, Golam Abbas Arbab Khales, who noted that this action is aimed at expanding and deepening cultural ties and creative exchanges between the two countries, inviting everyone at the same time to an exhibition of works of Iranian art, decorative and applied arts in the Ashgabat Museum of Fine Arts which opens on February 13th.

Music groups and soloists performed at the concert on the stage of the Mukams Palace, presenting both ancient songs and dances, as well as modern ones. A real sensation was made by a performer on a folk stringed instrument, playing an amazing solo part in a rock style.
In addition to the artists, athletes of national sports, including strong men, with elegant ease rolling huge weights over their shoulders, demonstrated their virtuosity in exhibition performances.

Also this week, in addition to an exhibition of Iranian art, Iranian films with Turkmen translation and a festival of Iranian national dishes will be presented to Ashgabat residents and guests of the capital.

The Minister of Culture and Islamic Orientation of the Islamic Republic of Iran arrived in the Turkmen capital to participate in the events.
