Oil shipments at the Turkish Ceyhan terminal that stopped after the earthquake in Kahramanmarash, resumed on Sunday after the damage was repaired.

British Petroleum (BP) Azerbaijan reported that work on the restoration of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline section has been completed and the reloading of Azerbaijani oil from the Ceyhan terminal in Turkey to tankers for shipment has begun. The BTC pipeline, operated by BP, also transports crude oil from Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan to Ceyhan.

Botaş International Limited (BİL), the operator of the Turkish section of the BTC and the Ceyhan terminal, halted oil shipments at Ceyhan due to damage to one of the viaducts and an oil spill resulting from earthquakes of magnitude 7.7 and 7.6 that occurred in Kahramanmaras on February 6.
