The head of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan met with the President of the UAE


The head of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who arrived on Saturday, February 11 on a working visit to Abu Dhabi, met with the President of the UAE Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The meeting was held at the Al-Shati Palace.
At the very beginning of the conversation, Gurbanguly Berdimuhmedov expressed condolences over the death of Sheikha Maryam bint Abdullah bin Sulayem Al Falasi, the WAM news agency reports.

Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov discussed the close friendship between the two countries, various aspects of cooperation and joint work, as well as the possibilities of its development in broader horizons that meet mutual interests. During the talks, a common vision of cooperation and its priorities for achieving the development and prosperity of the two friendly peoples were noted.

The meeting was also attended by high-ranking officials from both sides, including the UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technologies, Managing Director of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, UAE Special Envoy on Climate Change, Chairman of Masdar Sultan Ahmed Al-Jaber and Director General of the Abu Dhabi Development Fund Mohammed Seif Al-Suwaidi.
On the Turkmen side, the meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov, Ambassador to the UAE and other officials.
