Malik Myradov, an orthopedic traumatologist from Turkmenistan, who provides assistance to victims of earthquakes in Turkey, has published a touching post on Instagram.

"I am very proud to be involved in this. During these difficult days, we have become closer to the Turkish people, there have been many acquaintances with good people and doctors. We all do the same thing and our vocation is to help people in such circumstances," the medic wrote, wishing strength and patience to the victims and their loved ones.

Updated: ORIENT contacted the hero of the publication, who is currently in Turkey, and asked him a few questions.

Myradov said that now there are seven Turkmen doctors and three nurses in Turkey who provide first aid to victims of earthquakes. They accompany those who need serious surgical intervention to the clinic.

When asked how much longer they should stay in Turkey, he replied that it was not yet known.

"There are a lot of episodes [at the crash site that touched a nerve] in my head. Especially children who were left without parents. There are also children who were born after the earthquake under the rubble, who were found for the first four days. <...> Now it is our duty to help," the Turkmen doctor said.

"I am glad that I am participating, helping the victims and their loved ones. I want to thank our country and especially our President for the humanitarian aid provided to Turkey. Our fraternal people is very grateful," Myradov said.

Earlier, on February 7, Turkmenistan sent a group of doctors to Turkey to help victims of the devastating earthquakes that occurred in the republic on February 6. Humanitarian aid was also sent to the country twice.
