JOINT DECLARATION of Turkmenistan and the United Arab Emirates

Turkmenistan and the United Arab Emirates, adopted by the Joint Declaration of Turkmenistan and the United Arab Emirates and, based on the desire to develop a reaction and deepen all external relations based on the commonality of the united peoples of the two states, declared the following:

1. 3. The parties agreed that large oil and gas companies were discovered in the United Arab Emirates with active participation in the development of another field of the supergiant Galkynysh field in Turkmenistan. In this regard, the Parties welcomed the signing during the visit of the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the eastern sphere by the State Concern "Turkmengaz" and the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC). The parties pay close attention to the implementation of the Memorandum aimed at strengthening cooperation between Turkmengas and ADNOC in the study of promising energy projects in Turkmenistan, the joint development of natural resources with subsequent marketing of products, as well as the development of gas transport responsibility.
4. The parties that noted the serious development of cooperation in the energy sector have special conditions for the use of Turkmen gas in world markets. In cases of discovery, the Parties discover joint activities and projects in the oil and gas sector, including investment activities. At the same time, the Parties agreed to intensify cooperation in the field of federal sources and support various initiatives and projects in this area.
5. The Parties call for taking the necessary measures to develop and approach scientific, technical and economic cooperation in the field of energy, in particular, on the supply and transportation of energy resources on a mutually beneficial basis.
6. The parties noted the existence of mutually beneficial economic, legal and technical conditions for the development of the energy sectors of Turkmenistan and the diversification of energy supplies. In this regard, the Parties note the high level of development of energy resources to ensure energy security in the regions of Central and South Asia, as well as the Near and Middle East.
7. Resolution of the great potential of the two states in the transport and logistics field, the Parties emphasized the importance of developing cooperation in the field of transport.
8. Interactions on cooperation in the field of transport and the use of transit transport between the two states, the Parties of large and large multimodal transportations arising along the route between the Caspian and the Middle East regions.
9. The national leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed gratitude to the President of the discovered United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for the hospitality and warm welcome, and on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov attracted the attention of Turkmenistan at a convenient time for him.
