Turkmenistan and Afghanistan discussed increasing supplies of marble from Herat


Representatives of the Turkmen Consulate General in Herat, Afghanistan, discussed with local authorities an increase in the supply of marble from Afghanistan to Turkmenistan, Bakhtar news reports.
Governor of Herat Nur Ahmed Islam Jar noted the significant industrial potential of the province, adding that local entrepreneurs are interested in closer economic ties with Turkmenistan.
The members of the Union of Industrialists of Herat told the members of the Turkmen diplomatic corps about the high quality of marble, especially in the area of its extraction Chisht-Sharif and expressed hope that Turkmenistan will increase the purchase of local raw materials.
Representatives of the consulate, in turn, at a meeting with business structures of Herat showed interest in increasing economic cooperation.
