Turkmenistan plans to introduce an improved CAREC transit system


Turkmenistan aims to introduce an improved transit system of the CAREC, the website of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan reports.
The presentation of the system for the staff of the department was conducted by specialists of the Asian Development Bank within the framework of the Central Asian Regional Economic Cooperation program.
The improved CAREC Transit System aims to develop an efficient regional electronic transit transportation system that uses a common set of transit data.
The main advantages of the system are increased security of the supply chain, saving time and money at the borders for transit operators, as well as accelerated border crossing.
As part of the digital transformation of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan, the introduction of this system will improve the exchange of agreed transit data within customs procedures.
