Dutch seismologist Frank Hugerbits, who predicted an earthquake in Turkey, made a new forecast, RIA Novosti reports.
In his Twitter account, the expert said that large-scale earthquakes in Central Turkey caused significant changes in the distribution of stresses throughout the region, as a result of which seismic activity spread all the way to Palestine.
"It is obvious that the Middle East region is changing," he wrote.
On February 3, Hugerbits predicted that "sooner or later" an earthquake of magnitude 7.5 would occur in the southern part of Turkey on the border with Syria.
