CIS countries will be united by music television contest
Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for International Cultural Cooperation Mikhail Shvydkoy said that a new music television competition, uniting the CIS countries, is being developed by 2020. The most likely candidate for the post of producer is the composer, people's artist of the Russian Federation Igor Krutoy.
The launch of the project is timed to the next year's festival, which will be held as part of the mission of the Kazakh city of Shymkent as the cultural capital of the CIS. The organizers plan to combine the two events in a large-scale creative holiday.
- We will discuss the question of how best to create a new general project that will affect popular art, and not just classical. There is an idea to create a contest “Soul of Eurasia” according to the Eurovision model, try to repeat or transform the model of the Slavic Bazaar, but for the countries of Central Asia, Shvydko told Sputnik.
