The salary of teachers should be worthy of their profession - President of Turkmenistan
To increase the prestige of the teaching profession and attract young professionals to it, it is necessary to establish high wages, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov said at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of the country on Friday, the official Turkmen press reports.
In addition, it is important to pay great attention to the systematic work to improve the skills of teachers in secondary and higher educational institutions, the President noted.
He also gave the task to continue work on improving educational institutions, constantly update curricula, books, manuals and textbooks, taking into account international practice. All this will make it possible to reveal the natural talents and abilities of students and the younger generation and provide them with relevant knowledge, the head of state stressed.
At the meeting, the President noted the need to continue work on opening departments of foreign higher educational institutions in the most popular specialties and areas in the country.
