Pakistan is interested in expanding regional communication with Turkmenistan


The speaker of the lower house of the Pakistani parliament, Raja Pervez Ashraf, at a meeting with the Turkmen Ambassador Atajan Movlamov, proposed to join forces to expand regional communications by air, land and sea, the Daily Times reports.
Raja Pervez Ashraf noted the productive nature of relations between Turkmenistan and Pakistan. He stressed that the Pakistani side in relation to the Central Asian countries relies on a policy of result—oriented interaction, mentioning five key areas of cooperation - politics, trade and investment, energy and communications, security and personnel exchange.
Also, the head of the lower house, speaking about bilateral ties, suggested that Turkmenistan use the Pakistani ports of Gwadar, Bin Qasim and Karachi for trade with the Middle East and Africa.
The Turkmen diplomatic mission in Pakistan expressed readiness to strengthen bilateral cooperation, and also once again accepted the words of gratitude of the friendly country for providing humanitarian assistance during the floods in the southern Pakistani provinces in September 2022.
