The International Festival of Muslim Cinema will be held in Kazan


The XIX Kazan International Festival of Muslim Cinema will be held in the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan from September 5 to 9. Every year dozens of films from Russia, as well as countries of the near and far abroad participate in the film forum. The organizing Committee of the film festival announced the acceptance of applications from film studios ready to present their works in the competition. Registration will last until June 1, 2023, the press service of the festival reports.
The competition program will include full-length and short feature films and documentaries. The jury of the festival also established the nomination "National Competition". The film project may include Russian and foreign films reflecting universal, spiritual and moral values and cultural traditions, bearing the ideas of peacemaking, religious tolerance and humanism.
The Kazan regional film market, an international pitching of film projects, a film school forum, as well as master classes from prominent figures in the film industry will be held at the business site of the film festival.
The XIX Kazan International Festival of Muslim Cinema was founded in 2005 on the initiative of the Council of Muftis of Russia and is supported by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in partnership with the strategic vision group "Russia – the Islamic World".
