Turkmenistan's interaction with the UN and its agencies was discussed at the Foreign Ministry
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan held a meeting with the UN Permanent Coordinator in the country Dmitry Shlapachenko. The meeting was held by Deputy Foreign Minister Mahri Bashimova on Thursday.
The sides noted the effectiveness of Turkmenistan's cooperation with the UN and its agencies, reviewed current and prospective projects and discussed key areas of cooperation. It was stressed that Turkmenistan's dialogue with the UN is a strategic vector of the country's foreign policy.
Mahri Bashimova and Dmitry Shlapachenko discussed the implementation of the Framework Program of Cooperation in the Field of Sustainable Development between the Government of Turkmenistan and the United Nations for 2021-2025.
This document is intended to promote further cooperation of Turkmenistan with the UN in various spheres, including maintaining economic stability and growth, protecting the social rights of the population, improving the health system and preserving the ecological balance.
