From March 1, two-factor authorization will be introduced on the Gosuslugi website in Russia

From March 1, a second authorization factor will be introduced for users of the Russian public services portal, TASS reports with reference to the head of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation Maksut Shadaev.

This step was taken as part of the improvement of the protection system. Now you only need a username and password to log in. In turn, two-factor authentication will protect those users of "Gosuslugi" who use "simple" passwords.

As Shadaev explained, as part of the new protection system, the user, for example, will receive an additional SMS message to the phone number.

From June 1, the connection of two-factor authorization will become mandatory for everyone.
