A meeting with US Ambassador Matthew Klimow was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan


New Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova met with US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Matthew Klimow on Thursday at the Foreign Ministry building.
According to the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry, the diplomats discussed the state and prospects for the development of Turkmen-American relations, paying attention to the activities of Turkmenistan on international platforms, including the promotion of a culture of peace in the global context. In this regard, the relevance of the UN General Assembly resolution on declaring 2023 as the International Year of Dialogue as a Guarantee of Peace, adopted at the initiative of Turkmenistan, was emphasized.

The readiness of the parties to continue further cooperation in the field of education, cultural exchange, as well as in the field of research, protection and restoration of historical and cultural monuments was confirmed.
In addition, the ambassador presented proposals for cooperation in the information sphere, through the media and in the field of digital diplomacy.
