Turkmen archers will compete for participation in the Asian Championship

From 11 to 13 October, the archery competitions for the Turkmenistan Cup will be held at the Ashgabat Stadium. Archery athletes from all regions of the country will compete both for the Cup and for participation in the Asian Championship to be held on November 21-29 in the capital çity of Thailand - Bangkok. The upcoming Asian Championships will be a qualifying stage for the Olympic Games 2020. - The Asian Archery Federation is sending trainer from Bangladesh Alom Md Nure to Turkmenistan, who will conduct an advanced training course for coaches, Vepa Sahedov, Chairman of the Archery Federation of Turkmenistan told about the immediate plans in a conversation with ORIENT. It was he who showed himself perfectly at the 20th World Crossbow Shooting Championship in Ulyanovsk in August this year. The Turkmen archer scored 1451 points in the event for athletes, who started training in 2019, having become a gold medal winner. Archery is again gaining popularity among young people due to its advantages in developing proper posture and endurance, improving vision due to the constant focus on close and long distances. It is possible to acquire skills in shooting such types of sports weapons as classic, compound bow, crossbow in the specialized section (based in the Winter Sports Complex), where admission is in progress now for children from 6 years of age, as well as adults without restriction. You can come to sport at any age, not necessarily as a teenager. - We will train everyone, Vepa Sahedov promises. - The main thing is desire, the rest will come along.
