The Turkish Embassy in Turkmenistan has opened an account to help victims of the devastating earthquake in the south-east of the republic.

"In connection with the tragic earthquake that occurred in our country on February 6, 2023, the wishes of our citizens who applied to the embassy with a request to help those in need affected by the earthquake are gratefully accepted," the message on the embassy's official website reads.

On behalf of the Embassy, an account was opened in the Turkmen-Turkish Commercial Bank to transfer funds to the accounts of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Office for the Prevention and Elimination of Consequences of Emergency Situations of Turkey (AFAD) and the Red Crescent without a transfer fee.
