President Serdar Berdimuhamedov made a working trip to the Mary region


President Serdar Berdimuhamedov made a working trip to the Mary region on Tuesday, where he held a working meeting with a number of leaders and got acquainted with the progress of agricultural work in the fields of the region.

During the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Annageldi Yazmyradov, who oversees the agricultural sector in the government, reported on the state of agricultural lands allocated for wheat, preparations for cotton sowing, as well as on maintaining a stable watercourse in rivers, strengthening their banks and cleaning irrigation systems.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Charymyrat Purchekov reported on the industrial segment of the region's economy, including the electric power industry.

The meeting was also attended by Secretary of the State Security Council, Defense Minister Begench Gundogdyev, Chairman of the State Committee for the Construction of the center of the Akhal region Deryageldi Orazov and Head of the Mary regional Administration Dovranberdy Annaberdiyev, who reported to the President on the activities in the areas entrusted to their responsibility.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov gave each manager instructions for further work and pointed out the priority tasks on the topics discussed.
During his trip to Mary region, the President visited the fields of the region where seasonal agricultural work is underway, including the preparation of land for sowing cotton.

The Head of State also got acquainted with the progress of measures to strengthen the banks of the Garagum River, which involved powerful earthmoving equipment.
