A meeting of secretaries of the Security Councils of the countries of the region on the Afghan problem to be held in Moscow


The fifth multilateral meeting of the secretaries of the security councils and national security advisers on Afghanistan will be held in Moscow on Wednesday. This is reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the apparatus of the Security Council of the Russian Federation.
At the meeting, "it is supposed to discuss issues of international security with an emphasis on resolving the situation in Afghanistan."
The participation of high representatives in charge of security issues from Russia, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan is planned.
Russia will be represented at the meeting by Secretary of the Security Council Nikolai Patrushev.
