Turkey's tourism revenues increased by more than half in 2022


In Turkey, the revenues of the tourism industry in 2022 amounted to more than $46 billion, which is 53.4% more than in 2021. This is a new record for Turkey in the field of tourism, according to official Turkish media, citing data from the Institute of Statistics of Turkey.
"Tourism revenues in 2022 increased by 53.4% compared to the previous year and reached $46.28 billion. Personal expenses of tourists in Turkey amounted to $34.47 billion, and expenses within the framework of tourist packages - more than $11.8 billion," the report says.
According to statistics, more than 44 million foreign tourists visited Turkey in 2022. In 2023, the country plans to receive about 60 million travelers, and in 2028 - 90 million.
