Chairman of the Mejlis – Chamber of Deputies of the Turkmen Parliament Gulshat Mammedova met with the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Mustafa Shentop on the sidelines of the 13th plenary session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly held in Antalya.
Noting that Turkey and Turkmenistan are two fraternal countries with a common history, language, religion and culture, Shentop said that there is a strong momentum in the development of relations between the two countries, especially in the recent period, Turkish media reports.
He stressed that inter-parliamentary ties should be as close as between the two peoples. They also discussed the development of inter-parliamentary relations on multilateral platforms, including the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TÜRKPA).
