During the phone conversation between the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the halk maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the prospects of developing mutually advantageous cooperation in all major fields were discussed.
Our hero Arkadag and the leader of the friendly country cordially greeted and warmly congratulated each other on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan and expressed their best wishes to the peoples of the two countries. It was noted with satisfaction that over the past years after this historic event, interstate relations have been developed and strengthened in all areas on the basis of good neighborliness, friendship and mutual understanding. The National Leader of the Turkmen people noted with satisfaction that the relations between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, which are striving for progress and development, are constantly being enriched with new meaning. In this regard, the high level of relations in the political system of the two countries was emphasized. As mentioned, at present, a reliable contractual-legal framework of Turkmen-Uzbek relations has been developed. Today, it consists of nearly 300 international documents. Those documents cover different areas. This, of course, testifies to the enormous potential for joint work in traditional areas of cooperation, as well as in new areas. Bilateral economic relations are being actively developed, cooperation in fuel and energy, transport and logistics and agricultural sectors is being successfully expanded. In this regard, it was noted that the activities of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade-Economic, Scientific-Technical and Cultural Cooperation are becoming more active. It coordinates efforts in all areas of bilateral cooperation. In accordance with the esteemed President's order, the free delivery of liquefied gas to the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the arrival of Uzbekistan-made ambulances in the country, is a clear proof of the efforts of the parties to comprehensively strengthen good-neighborly and friendly-fraternal relations. During the talk, it was noted that the parliamentary and interregional relations are being continuously developed. Cooperation in the fields of culture, science, and education is also being strengthened. In this regard, the importance of the solemn event held at the Dashkent Park in the capital on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan on February 3 of this year was highlighted. Our Hero arkadag expressed his confidence that the traditional fraternal relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan will be continuously developed and deepened in the spirit of mutually advantageous strategic cooperation for the benefit of common welfare as a result of joint efforts.
