On February 6th, the Esteemed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting held by means of digital video conferencing with the participation of the Minister of Agriculture and Environmental Protection and khyakims of the velayats.
Opening the working meeting, the Esteemed President addressed the Khyakim of Ahal Velayat Gurbanov. The khyakim reported on the current state of agricultural work in the velayat, in particular, on the work being done to carry out maintenance work in the fields planted with wheat in agro-technical terms. The khyakim also reported on the progress of work on various facilities and buildings that are planned to be put into use in the velayat this year in accordance with the National Program for the period up to 2028 on reforming the living conditions of the population of villages, towns, cities and etrap centers.
Then the Khyakim of Balkan Velayat Atahalliev reported on the state of agricultural work in the velayat and the implementation of construction works on cultural-life and industrial facilities and buildings planned to be put into use this year in accordance with the Program of socio-economic development of the country and the National Rural Program.
Listening to the report, the Esteemed President stressed that it is an important requirement to carry out the ongoing seasonal agricultural work within the specified agrotechnical terms. In this regard, the Turkmen leader said that for the harvest of 2023, the pace of plowing and leveling of the areas where cotton will be planted in the velayat, the preparation of the areas for sowing of spring potatoes and other vegetable crops, the maintenance of wheat fields in accordance with the rules of agrotechnics, the cultivation of sugar beet in the velayat should be increased. The head of state gave several instructions on how to ensure timely and loss-free harvesting of the crop. The Turkmen leader gave relevant instructions regarding the high-quality implementation of the planned activities in the velayat in accordance with the 2022-2028 socio-economic development program and the national rural program.
Then, the working meeting held by means of digital video conferencing continued with the report of Nazarmyradov, khyakim of Dashoguz Velayat. The khyakim reported on the state of seasonal agricultural work in the velayat. The khyakim also reported on the progress of the planned construction works in the velayat in accordance with the program of socio-economic development of the country and the National Rural Program.
Listening to the report, the Esteemed President pointed out the important role of the agricultural sector in the economy of the country, and the ongoing agricultural work, in particular, the plowing and leveling of the cotton fields, should be carried out within the agrotechnical terms, and the cotton producers should be provided with a sufficient amount of high-quality cotton seeds before planting. The head of state noted that its provision is an important requirement and gave several instructions in this regard. The Turkmen leader emphasized the need for a responsible approach to the successful implementation of the tasks envisaged in the 2022-2028 socio-economic development program and the national rural program, and the construction work on the cultural-life and industrial facilities planned to be opened and put into use in the velayat this year is high and instructed to monitor its quality and timely execution.
Then the Khyakim of Lebap Velayat Amangeldiyev reported on the current seasonal agricultural work in the region, as well as the implementation of planned activities in accordance with the program of socio-economic development of the country. The khyakim also reported on the status of construction works on cultural and industrial facilities planned to be opened and put into use in the velayat this year.
Summarizing the report, the Esteemed President emphasized the importance of the ongoing seasonal agricultural work, increasing the pace of plowing and leveling in the areas where cotton will be planted, preparing the techniques and tools to be used in the coming season, and providing cotton producers with high-quality cotton seeds until spring planting and gave several instructions to the khyakim in this regard. At the same time, the Turkmen leader emphasized the need to take care of the white fields in the velayat in accordance with agro-technical standards, to prepare properly for the planting of spring potatoes and other vegetable crops, and gave relevant instructions. Listening to the report, the Esteemed President said that it is an important requirement to carry out the agricultural work in agro-technical terms, and to prepare the cotton fields for this year's harvest before the planting season, to provide the tenants with high-quality cotton seeds in sufficient quantity, and in future agricultural works and gave several instructions regarding the review and complete preparation of the techniques and tools to be used. Also, the Turkmen leader emphasized the importance of taking care of agricultural fields by strictly following the requirements of agrotechnics, preparing for the planting of spring potatoes and other vegetable crops. The Esteemed President gave relevant instructions to the khyakim in this regard.
