Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan have increased the mutual period of stay of their citizens in the territory of the two countries from five to 30 days, the press service of the Uzbek Agency for External Migration reported on Tuesday.

According to the press service, the Uzbek-Kazakh intergovernmental agreement "On the conditions for mutual trips of citizens" dated July 7, 2000 was amended in the order of entry, stay and departure of citizens of the two countries.

"Now citizens of Uzbekistan can stay in Kazakhstan without registration for 30 calendar days from the day they cross the border," the agency's telegram channel said.

Previously, this period did not exceed five days, it has also been extended for trips of Kazakhstanis to Uzbekistan.

At the same time, citizens of the two countries can make mutual trips without a visa for a period of not more than 30 days, in total - 90 days during each period of 180 calendar days, the press service added.
