The head of state received the Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation
On January 30th, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Wýaçeslaw Wolodin, who came to our country as the leader of the parliamentary delegation of the Russian Federation.
The visit of the Speaker of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation will provide an opportunity to develop Turkmen-Russian cooperation and exchange experience between legislative bodies. Speaking about these, the President of Turkmenistan expressed his confidence that the talks planned during the visit will be effective and will contribute steadily to the expansion of multi-faceted intergovernmental cooperation.
In continuation of the meeting, priority areas of cooperation in the trade and economic sphere, including in such sectors as energy, industry, transport, as well as established ties between the regions and subjects of Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation, were discussed.
An integral part of the Turkmen-Russian relations are fruitful contacts in the humanitarian field - through education, science, healthcare and culture.
The Turkmen leader confirmed the country's readiness to further support the activation of this cooperation and took the opportunity to express his warm greetings and best wishes to the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin.
At the end of the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan and the Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Volodin, expressed their confidence that interstate relations based on the principles of friendship and good neighborliness will be enriched with new meaning and will be further dynamically developed and they wished each other sound health and success as well as prosperity and wellbeing to the people of two countries.
