The joint working group on the demarcation of the bottom of the Caspian Sea between Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan discussed the preparation of a draft agreement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.

The next meeting of the group, which was held in Ashgabat, was attended by representatives of relevant ministries and departments of the two countries.

The Turkmen side was represented at the meeting by the Director of the Caspian Sea Institute, Myrat Atajanov, and the Azerbaijani delegation was represented by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Special Representative of the President of Azerbaijan on borders and the Caspian Sea Khalaf Khalafov.
