Saudi Arabia will host 2 million pilgrims this year


Saudi Arabia is ready to receive 2 million pilgrims for the Hajj this year. This was stated by the Minister of Hajj and Umrah Tawfiq bin Fauzan Al-Rabia.
Last year, about 900 thousand people performed the holy Hajj.
The Minister also spoke about the ongoing infrastructure projects in the Kingdom to provide quality services to pilgrims. The total cost of the projects is estimated at $53 billion and includes an express train connecting Mecca and Medina.
The services of the Nusuk digital platform, the official guide to Mecca and Medina for pilgrims from all over the world, will also expand. In particular, the validity period of the umra visa will be extended from 30 to 90 days, and tariffs for comprehensive insurance will be reduced.
