Students from Turkmenistan and CIS countries will go on a "Star Trek" in Belarus

Students and teachers from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan will go on Wednesday to the places of military glory of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War. The "Star Trek" began in Minsk, in which 250 students and teachers take part. ― For students from the CIS countries, "Star Trek" is an introduction to our common history and a kind of marathon of preserving the historical memory of the immortal feat of the peoples of the Soviet Union and the Great Victory. The participants will be able to make sure once again that the Belarusian people sacredly and carefully keep the memory of those who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of our countries, - Alexander Zhuk, rector of the Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after M. Tank said, speaking at a solemn rally dedicated to the start of the International 58th Star Trek. By the way, the tour has been held since 1966 on the initiative of the Belarusian State Pedagogical University.

The participants were divided into 10 teams - each has its own route through the Minsk, Gomel and Mogilev regions. They will meet with veterans of the Great Patriotic War, lay flowers at the mass graves of fallen Soviet soldiers and civilians. The program also includes master classes and thematic concerts.
