Heads of sports federations were urged to step up work in social networks


The heads of sports federations were urged to step up their activities in social networks, based on the results of a study conducted by BCW Sports (Burson, Cohn & Wolfe) and dedicated to the most popular sports federations on popular Internet platforms.
Addressing the heads of international sports federations, BCW Sports urged them to use more social media opportunities to communicate with fans and sports fans from all over the world.
"We see the impact that social networks have on the heads of business structures, now it's time for sports leaders to step up," the BCW Sports publication says.
The International Cricket Council topped the rating of the most popular federations in social networks. In total, 92.2 million users have subscribed to the council's digital platforms. This is a 16% increase compared to the previous year. Instagram Facebook is also a strong leader in terms of the number of posts per day on Instagram, the number of subscribers and messages per day on Facebook, as well as Twitter messages.
The International Football Federation is in second place with 51.4 million subscribers, having improved its result by 25% compared to the beginning of 2022. At the same time, FIFA leads in the number of subscribers on Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube among other federations.
The International Basketball Federation, which took the third position in the ranking of the most popular sports federations, ensured 12% progress during 2022. The number of its subscribers has reached 15.5 million.
