Turkmenistan considers the UN Charter as a constitution for the world community


Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov said at the conference "Dialogue – guarantee of peace" that there is no other international organization that can replace the UN, TASS reports.
"Today there is no other international structure that could replace the activities of the UN. The UN Charter today is the constitution of the world community. Having been adopted 70 years ago, its values for ensuring peace, cooperation and respect in international affairs are still important for the modern world. We strongly believe in the leading role of the UN in maintaining peace and dialogue," he said.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan also noted that only through cooperation, trust and joint efforts can countries guarantee a peaceful and predictable future for future generations. In this context, Turkmenistan considers the UN as the most valuable achievement for the global community.
The international conference "Dialogue - a guarantee of peace" was held on Sunday on the eve of the 27th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality.
