The British to celebrate the coronation of Charles III for three days


This event will take place in the UK from 6 to 8 May 2023 at Westminne Abbey. According to Buckingham Palace, the coronation ceremony of Charles III will be attended by two thousand people. For comparison, the anointing of Elizabeth II in 1953 was attended by eight thousand people.
These days, the British will be able to see two solemn processions, performances of orchestras on the lawn of Windsor Castle, laser shows, greetings of members of the royal family on the balcony of a residence in London.
The very ceremony of anointing Charles III to the kingdom will take place in the abbey on May 6th. He will arrive there from Buckingham Palace in a gilded carriage, along with Queen Consort Camilla. From there, the king and queen will return to the palace, where they will go out onto the balcony with family members to greet their subjects.
On May 7, a big concert with the participation of world stars will take place at the walls of Windsor Castle. At night, the London sky will be adorned with a laser and light show using state-of-the-art drones.
And Monday, May 8, is declared a public holiday in the UK. Residents of the kingdom will be invited to take part in volunteer and charitable projects.
