The state of bilateral business cooperation was discussed and cooperation plans were outlined during various meetings and at the joint session of the Turkmen-Russian and Russian-Turkmen business councils held at the Yyldyz Hotel.
At the meetings between the sectoral departments, large production units, and private companies of the two countries, new opportunities for cooperation in industrial activities, construction production, innovation and information technologies, transport and logistics, agricultural sector and export of food products and other sectors were discussed, ideas were exchanged and concrete proposals were made.
In the speeches, the positive growth rate of bilateral relations was noted, and the importance of these structures as an effective tool for expanding bilateral trade and economic cooperation and realizing its great potential was emphasized.
During the meeting, there were serious discussions on specific measures to diversify effective cooperation established in important sectors such as industry, including electronic industry, medicine, transport, communications, business and. The business councils’ sessions participants emphasized the need to create favorable conditions for business, as well as the need to comprehensively develop trade, economic, scientific and technical relations between business communities of the two countries.
More than 20 documents, including agreements on export-import operations, cooperation in the service sector, as well as memorandums and contracts on mutual understanding, were signed based on the outcomes of the meeting of the business councils, held in parallel, including via the digital link. The signed documents confirm the importance of developing the economy on a multifaceted basis, and intensifying cooperation in areas related to the socio-economic development of regions.
