Foundation laid for the Main Mosque of Akhal velayat
President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, who came to Ashgabat on a working trip, ambassadors of foreign countries to our country, members of the Milli Gengesh of the country, the heads of ministries and sectoral departments, the khyakims of velayats, as well as mass media representatives, together with the honored elders of Turkmenistan, attended the laying of the foundation of the main mosque of the region.
Then the mufti of Turkmenistan said prayers and offered the purest and best wishes. All the participants in the ceremony of laying the foundation of the Main Mosque joined these prayers.
Then the construction of the main mosque of Akhal Velayat was started.
The total area of the Main Mosque of Akhal Velayat is 34.5 hectares, which will allow more than 15 thousand people to pray at once. Its building for sadaka is intended for 1500 people.
The main mosque is decorated with 4 minarets, each reaching a height of 104 meters, where high-speed elevators will be installed. The first three floors of the towers will house various control rooms, including special rooms for conducting meetings and discussions. It is planned to build an observation deck at a height of 97 meters in one of the minarets.
As is known, recently the Haji Arkadag said that it would be advisable to build a school-madrasah near the mosque, and gave some valuable advices about its construction. It is also intended to build a madrasah near the main mosque of the region, which will consist of three floors. There will also be a museum, a library, prayer halls, and other utility rooms.
Parking spaces and other technical facilities for various purposes will also be built within the Main Mosque of Akhal Velayat. It also has a park zone, which will cover an area of 10 hectares. A set of water fountains will become the main decoration of the park.
Then everyone went to the venue for giving the holiday sadaka to celebrate the great event, laying the foundation of the Gökdepe Mosque of Akhal velayat. A ceremony was held at a specially designated place near the Gökdepe Mosque.
After performing the Friday prayer, the elders bowed with heartfelt gratitude to our Hero Arkadag and the esteemed President before the teperrek from the Holy Kaaba. This is also a tradition that has become a noble custom in recent years, and it is an important event in strengthening the spiritual power and unity of the people of our country and inspiring them to perform good intentions.
