On January 20th, Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin came to the building of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, where the high guest was cordially welcomed by esteemed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
After the ceremony of photographing in front of the national flags of the two countries, a meeting was held.
Greeting the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation in Ashgabat, the esteemed President noted that it was his first visit to Turkmenistan and emphasized the dynamic and fruitful nature of Turkmen-Russian cooperation.
Mutual cooperation in political, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian areas is actively developing. Special attention is also paid to the strengthening of inter-parliamentary relations.
The Prime Minister of the Russian Federation also informed that a large delegation of the Russian Federation had arrived in our country. The idea of holding a joint business forum was supported in Russia. More than 400 business people and entrepreneurs came to Ashgabat from the Russian Federation, ready to have close relations with Turkmen partners.
Then the talks were continued in an enlarged composition with the participation of the delegations of the two countries.
During the visit of the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, bilateral documents were signed.
These included the Agreement between the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation on cooperation in the field of migration;
the Memorandum on cooperation between the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation in the field of personnel training;
the Protocol on cooperation between the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation in combating customs violations for 2023-2025;
the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan and the Federal Agency for Fisheries of the Russian Federation;
the Protocol on the integration of plant quarantine information systems between the State Plant Quarantine Service of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment Preservation of Turkmenistan and the Federal Service of Veterinary and Phytosanitary Control of the Russian Federation; the Plan of activities, Roadmap, on Turkmen-Russian cooperation in the use of water resources and environmental issues;
the Agreement on cooperation between the open joint-stock company “Ulag-Logistics Center of Turkmenistan” and the joint-stock company “Lotus” Special Economic Zone of the Russian Federation;
the Memorandum of intentions between the open joint-stock company “Ulag-logistics center of Turkmenistan” and the joint-stock company “Lotos” special economic zone of the Russian Federation regarding the implementation of the investment project to create a logistics center of Turkmenistan in the special economic zone of the port of the Astrakhan region;
and the memorandum of understanding on youth policy between the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs of the Russian Federation.
In addition, the set of bilateral documents was supplemented with the Agreement on cooperation between the Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly and the Moscow State University named after Lomonosov of the Russian Federation.
Today, Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin also visited the Halk hakydasy Memorial Complex, located in the southwestern part of the capital and immortalizing the memory of national heroes - the defenders of the Fatherland and the victims of the devastating Ashgabat earthquake in 1948, where he laid flowers at the Baky Şöhrat monument.
Having completed his official visit to Turkmenistan, the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation left Ashgabat.
