Russia and Turkmenistan discuss the construction of a highway along the Caspian coast
Russia and Turkmenistan are discussing a joint road project - the construction of a highway along the eastern coast of the Caspian Sea, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said, speaking at the Russian-Turkmen business forum in Ashgabat on Thursday.
"One of the promising joint projects that is currently being discussed is the construction of a highway along the eastern coast of the Caspian Sea," he said.
At the same time, the Prime Minister stressed that special importance is attached to the formation of international transport routes. In particular, the countries are working on the development of the international transport corridor "North-South" and its access to full capacity.
To date, Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation have signed 20 bilateral documents in the field of transport and logistics. The process of Turkmenistan's accession to the Agreement on the international transport corridor "North-South" has been launched.
